Canopy does not sell or share your personal information
This page is published in compliance with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), and similar state-level privacy laws. It is also available to residents of any U.S. state, and to anyone else who wants the assurance.
We do not sell personal information — we do not exchange it for money or other valuable consideration.
We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising — we do not pass it to third parties so they can advertise to you based on activity outside Canopy.
Because we do not sell or share, there is nothing to opt out of. This page exists to document that fact rather than to offer a separate opt-out mechanism.
What we DO with your data
Personal information you provide to Canopy (account credentials, billing details, the customer-event payloads your business sends us) is used only to operate the Canopy service and to satisfy legal obligations. Subprocessors who help us deliver the service (database hosting, transactional email, SMS delivery, payment processing) handle data only on our instruction and only for those operational purposes.

Your privacy rights
Regardless of whether you are a California resident, you can ask us to:
- Confirm what personal information we hold about you
- Receive a copy of that information in a portable format
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your personal information (subject to lawful retention requirements such as tax records)
- Restrict or object to certain processing
Submit a request by emailing support@canopytech.io from the email address on the account. We may request verification of identity before fulfilling the request and will respond within 45 days (extendable once by 45 days where reasonably necessary).
You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf; we may require proof of the agent's authority and proof of your identity.
Non-discrimination
We will not deny service, charge different prices, or otherwise discriminate against you for exercising any of the privacy rights described above.
